As part of an ongoing community-based process towards planning for climate resilience, the Town of New Gloucester is conducting a Climate Vulnerability Assessment.

What Is a Climate Vulnerability Assessment?
A Climate Vulnerability Assessment identifies hazards that New Gloucester is likely to experience due to climate change, assesses where our community is most vulnerable concerning infrastructure, ecosystems, economies, and communities, and helps prioritize projects and spending to optimally improve our community's resilience.
Foundations of a Climate Vulnerability Assessment
Climate hazards
Identifies potential impacts from climate hazards, including elevated temperatures, increased precipitation, drought, and more frequent and extreme storms
Existing Vulnerabilities
Analyzes infrastructure, populations, and ecosystems within New Gloucester that are most at risk due to the changing climate
Strategies
Proposes immediate next steps for action
